Actually if you watch the replay carefully you will see that Nani's foot was tapped just as he was about to shoot so it was a penalty. 
Shocking tackle from Cashley Cole, if it was a booking offence why wasn't it a penalty, the ball was still in play at the moment Cole commited GBH? 
Mind you the miss from Torres was priceless.
