But I have sun java installed.

I seem to be having problems with my connection.

Today browsing was so slow as to be almost impossible. When trying to run a speedtest, all tests I tried stalled at the upload test. I found I could still get a full speeed download from NNTP and FTP but HTTP was borked. A little more poking about revealed I had lost my upload. 12kbps was the best I could manage uploading some jpgs to my webspace.

So I think that is the problem and not Java.

Just now browsing has picked up I'm gonna tried speedtest.net. Hmmm.. still the same..giving me 15meg up but won't connect for the upload test.

Looks like a call to support <sigh>

Just discovered Avira was skewing all my speedtests. After disabling it I find I am getting 20meg down but still nothing on an upload test on my 30/3 connection.

I managed to run NDT in the end

Certainly does.

Seems their was a network issue causing me problems that got fixed this afternoon so I thought I would try NDT again but it is just stalled on "preparing your tests"

Re: Speed Testing

Heh. Worse than me then - it just gives me absurdly low results. Still believes my 50mb line is 4.4mb.

Re: Speed Testing

Can't say much for the BT one, but OVH can do 50mb quite well but I wouldn't use it for 100 or above.
