I proberly like many others thought when this story first broke thought about how the 'Chiliean Miners' were rescued and these guys would be home soon.

But that wasn't to be

sadly no .I do hope people (meaning the media mostly)don't start comparing this rescue attemt to the success of the Chilean rescue and suggest that our resue team wasn't upto the job as they where totally different circumstances and a totally different type of mine so there realy is no comparison

It's been a very long time since we have had miners die in a mine collapse.I had hoped never to hear of it happening again.

RIP.

A Welshman stood at the pearly gates, his head was bent and low. He meekly asked the man of fate the way that he should go. "what have you done" St Peter said "to gain admission here" "I merely mined for coal" he said "for many, many a year" St Peter opened wide the gate and softly tolled the bell "come in and choose your harp" he said.... "you've had your share of hell".

When i think of this the song which David Alexander sang about Minors and Wales called "If I could see the Rhondda One more time" always comes to mind.

Lyrics are...

The mist on the mountains ,
the rivers running free ,
the big men walking home from the mines,
the coal dust clinging to them as they slowly climb the hills ,
if I could see the Rhonnda one more time .

If I could see the Rhonnda once again
and walk where I used to run as a child ,
the dust from that coal made it's mark upon my soul,
I'd love to see the Rhonnda one more time .

500 voices singing in the Chapel on the hill ,
the day that my old grandpa passed away ,
but I didn't cry on the day that he died
cause I know where my old grandpa went that day .

He's walking down the tireless town ,
in the Rhonnda of his dreams ,
he's standing on a hill above the mines ,
the choirs fill the air as he's proudly standing there ,
he's singing in the Rhonnda one more time .

He's singing in the Rhonnda once again ,
he walks where he used to run as a child ,
the dust from that coal left it's mark upon his soul ,
he's gone to see the Rhonnda one more time.

And as expected, a Facebook page has been set up by some brain donor extracting the urine out of the 4 men because they were Welsh. Anyone here on my FB can report it, the link is on my status.

Given the fact that some twonk has been jailed for a similar offence, I would hope that it is reported, and that Facebook cooperate with the police.

A sad time for a declining noble profession, I hope all the families get some piece.

Done. What a pathetic excuse of a person. I have put it on my main FB account to get more complaints lodged. Maybe a few more members could link to it and get it pulled faster as well before it has a chance to upset anyone linked to the disaster.

It would be best to not link to it as there's some pretty awful language being used on it.
