It will fix your other issues though regardless of you using ondemand or not, it is your box not talking back to Virginmedia correctly.

A return path is a two-way connection (upstream from the stb and downstream from VM), VOD and interactive need this to work, otherwise it's just downstream data and broadcast.

In simple terms... the stb sends information to VM and VM send information to the stb.

I don't even watch anything on virgin tv. The kid only watchs disney channel and other kids channels.

I mainly use the Internet

Are you on L or XL tv? There are loads of kids stuff on VOD too, you are paying for it, so best get calling VM and get it fixed

@ Hugh nope nothing. I stopped watchin all tv. Don't know wat happen but i did watch alot of tv in the past. Mostly bbc1,2 itv and channel 4.

I find your posts quite confusing. You ask why you are getting these prompts, you are told you have a fault, yet you won't fix it. Then you tell us you don't even watch TV!

You indicate that there are children in your house. Even if you don't watch On Demand (or indeed, TV) yourself, don't you think you should fix it for them?
