Watching recordings...No network?

Hello

I'm not sure if this is a glitch, I hope so......anyway I went into 'My Shows' to watch a program and a message came up saying something like there was no network so couldn't watch any of my 'recorded' shows!

Has this happened to anybody else and does this mean that you can't watch any of your recorded programs if the Tivo network goes?

Btw....was still able to watch live tv in case you ask.

Re: Watching recordings...No network?

You can watch the recording by pressing the play button. The lack of network just prevents it from bringing up the programme info page.

Well of course I pressed the play button

I thought it really odd why that happened though.

Re: Watching recordings...No network?

I've had that a couple of times. I've had to reconnect to network in the settings menu before it would let me watch a recording.

Believe it or not, not everyone realises you can do that.

I think it's because when you press 'OK' on a recording to bring up the info page it has to get the programme info over the network rather than having it cached locally, so when there's no connection it can't display the page.

Well even so, that is just not acceptable for a means to watch something that is recorded. Bit sorry I said goodbye to my V+ now.....

Re: Watching recordings...No network?

I don't see the problem. You can still watch the recording, you just can't view the info page.

Re: Watching recordings...No network?

i am getting a similar message in the PE1 area due to an on-going network problem. It's affecting internet and TiVo as well
