Lightbulb Strange

I'm at my Mums currently on a visit. And I brought My PC with me so I can do some work.

My mums Broadband speed is 10 meg. My Wifes Laptop is registering 8 Meg speed at my Mums house. My Mums Laptop is registering 8 Meg.

However My PC Is connected wirelessly, and is only registering 1.1 Meg.

I'm totally confused as to why.

No ones using their computers when I tested the speed, and we're all connected to the same network, so why am I only getting 1 meg?

Really hope someone can shed light on this.

Im using Windows 7 Home 64Bit. My Wifes Using Vista, And My Mums on Windows 7 32 bit.

Re: Strange

Could it be that ones reporting in Mb and the other is reporting in MB just that 1.1MB does equate to 8Mb??

Re: Strange

Are they connected via ethernet cables?
If so then there is some wireless interference.
Try Xirrus WiFi Inspector to see if you have interfering channels.
