Well the clicks could only be coming from the pickup arm so I would assume it will be fine.

To be honest I didnt even know that you were able to here it reading and writing lol, I only usually hear the noisy fan, which drowns it out.

With the Original design of 360 HDD's you rarely could but It is very common to hear your HDD writing on a PC or the HDD designed for the 360's'
