so it won't alert me to a programme i want to watch but although this useful part of virgin's v+ box is not included with the tivo, it really doesn't matter. I can record up to three shows at a time.

Not sure what you mean, if you don't mean using the miniguide or Channel +/-.

You can use channel up/down to page up/down in all menus/guides
You have to press 'record' in the EPG to bring up the menu on a programme and choose 'explore' to get info on it - counter-intuitive we know but it works until it's fixed

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
I just press the ok button for shows that are not currently on. No need to go to explore as that brings up a synopsis.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Well yes, but that's the TiVo iPhone app, not the Virgin TiVo iPhone app

But as you know Ben the VM deal with TiVo includes feature parity so that means we get it. Seeing as that is a official TiVo universal app (iPad and iPhone) I find it difficult to believe that this isn't going to be the app we get, rebranded.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
I don't think that the remote record app that'll be popping up on the iPhone shortly will be that one. It'll be a version of the Android app that has already been released
Remember the Virgin Media TiVo is different to the US TiVos. It connects to the internet differently, the authentication used for remote record is Virgin's not TiVo's etc.
The iPad app (and by extention the iPhone) will come to Virgin Media TiVo platform but not without changes to support the Virgin Media TiVo's differences

Yes I get that it's not identical in features but it's going to be built off the same codebase, by TiVo right?
[EDIT]Are you saying Ben that there is an iPhone app coming out soon?[/EDIT]

Yes - but as I said it'll be similar to the Android version that was released the other week. It's not going to be the TiVo iOS app

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Minus those that have tested the TiVo, its been 'out' for just a few weeks so I wouldn't be expecting anything soon.
