Had you bought a Tv in Currys for £500 and a week later it was £300 in the sale would you expect them to give you £200, of course you wouldn't. It happens all the time, this is no different.

actually this kind of thing does happen. Amazon do it if the price goes down within 30 days of shipping for example.

If Currys had told you that the TV was a special offer for you, and it would be going on general sale at £700, then yes, I would, as you will have entered under the contract of sale under false pretenses so you have every right to void it.

I would have been very dissapointed if I had taken up VM's offer for being a loyal customer before July and paying £150 for the Tivo box only to find out any old Tom, Dick or Harry could get there hands on it for £50 less. Well done VM.

I bought a Whyte brothers mountain bike for £5100 and then 15 days later I saw it at £4200, I did not grumble about the price I just had to deal with it. £900 difference who cares about it?

l totally agree Devil in that we knew what price we were going to pay and were happy to do so and remember there will always be a few grumpy customers or members of this forum who will moan whatever they do.

Re: Is the TiVo charge now £3 per month on all TV packs?
I upgraded to a V+ and a Tivo 500GB a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't afford the 1TB, when I was on the phone I specifically asked if there were any reductions coming up in the immediate future, I was told that there wasn't and these prices would be fixed for at least the next few months. I paid a total of £179
A couple of weeks later I find out that there is a large price drop, I phoned customer services and discussed the issue with a nice polite lady , they have now arranged to replace the V+ with a 1tb box (next Tuesday) and reduce my payment from £179 to £150
Very happy

I can't quite work out if this is sarcasm. Frankly anyone who doesn't push companies to get the best possible price (whether after or before purchase) are doing themselves a disservice.
Companies are big, have the power to change things and make exceptions, we are small, moaning is pretty much our only tool. A lot of people here seem to think its some kind of crime to question the pricing & rigid policies of a large company like VM.

personally I would have retuned the bike and pushed for a refund, then purchased at the lower price. £900 is worth a lot of effort where I come from. Unless ofcourse this is a joke.
