How could they force you to pay the £3.00 when they are doing the upgrade? Anyone who doesn't migrate to TiVo by choice, shouldn't have to pay a penny. Ultimately Virgin want everyone on TiVo to cash in on target advertising.

How many M+ customers have taken TiVo? Do we have any forum members on M+ who have taken TiVo? Let's face it, you are not going to get the full benefit of TiVo unless you are on the XL package with SKY Sports and SKY Movies. To me if you have M+ you should be alright using catch-up TV and reading through the TV guide for the to see what's on the 20 or 30 channels that you actually watch.

And people wonder why the staff do not post on here all the time as they did before? So many of the serial posters do not post here as much as well? The staff and the lower order now seem to get vilified all the time now? I think now that that is whay the threads have now descended in to a load of ?

Just incase your comments are in reply to my post to Stephen, I'll explain. He stated he knows quiet a few people with VM TiVo. I remarked with a wink that I'm not surprised seeing he works for Virgin. Probably everyone at his work, or at least a large number of his colleagues will have TiVo so Stephen will undoubtedly know more people with TiVo than SKY+HD. I was in no way trying to vilify him whatsoever. I was not trying to suggest his comments were biased due to his affiliation with Virgin. I was making a humorous observation, or at least that was my intention.

I do agree though that some staff members to get a rough time, which is simply unacceptable. I've found the Virgin staff here to be nothing more than helpful and courteous.

No my posts are for no one as I now think that this forum is getting like the Serengeti where a wounded gazelle is getting hunted and killed. In regards to the staff and people like me we are getting sick of getting all the abuse. If anyone has seen most of my posts lately they will realise that I for one am getting fed up with the torment.

For someone with Devil in his name, all you need is a big hug

Seriously though I have seen people being ganged up on in these forums before and it makes me sick. I'm just trying to provoke debate, and to get people thinking about the bigger picture of TiVo. You'd think from my posts that I hate Virgin but that's not true. I suppose you could say I'm playing devil's advocate, in a light hearted way.

Please don't stop posting. If you do who'll keep Denphone in check?

More to do with living in Glasgow where a lot of people already had cable before I started working there. Cable is quite popular up here.

Re: Is the TiVo charge now £3 per month on all TV packs?

just to get back onto the thread topic for a second.

Has anyone received an email saying they will be getting this refund? It seems like some people are suggesting you have to contact VM and complain in order to get it, and others saying it will be a blanket credit for all early adopters.

I think its a good fig leaf for VM to offer, as it did seem that we (early adopters) had been made to pay a £50 premium to upgrade a couple of weeks earlier than others. This was especially annoying given that the £199+£40 for new customers never actually happened.

I was told by the CEO's office that it is a blanket refund and that you need do nothing to get it. The £50 credit will appear on your bill in the next 2 months.
