We have just come back from Loch Lomond Shores. It is really a nice run from Glasgow & the sun stayed out. I felt I had a nice day.

 | You really ought to try it. It was when my wife and I wandered halfway up Loch Lomond after a business trip - "Wow!" We've had a couple of weeks holiday in Scotland every year since. Great place (if you avoid the midges )

I hear the midges are legendary in their numbers - but I wasn't going to mention that

I read in the papers they have found some sort of spray to get rid of them. I think it may be a joke,

This is a picture through one of the lenses (the other does the same thing) - this is the polarising filter.

I know it should be black as it's looking at an LCD screen (iPad) - but I'd havev thought the black should be uniform and not with transparent around the edge like it is.

Would it be something to do with the reflection of the screen that makes it look like that?
