TiVo Movie Premieres?

It would be great if there was a way to identify Movie Premieres on Tivo

I would definitely record these as wishlist

Anyone managed to figure this?

Sounds similar to what I want to find out, except I want new series. Same prinicple though. No luck so far.

Just type 'New' is pretty successful for series but won't find new movies

I don't want to be negative but logic says that's never going to work. Maybe you could clarify how and where you are entering "New" in a wishlist to obtain a new series?

If there is a way then this is definitely one of the most simplistic and best tips on the forum.

Just tried it as a keyword and it doesn't work. picks up everything with new in the show description.

That's what I thought wishlists were designed to do yet I did secretly hope JethroUK had something that defied logic.

You can choose "New only" in the recording options, but it doesn't work for Films because they don't have an original air date.

I can't think of a way to set a wishlist for just movie premieres on TV but there is a way to look at the vast majority of films and there's even a Sky Premiere category.*

Home - Search & Browse - Browse All TV - Movies

"Browse All TV" in my mind is an excellent feature of the TiVo, so powerful and endlessly customisable as you can can put your chosen categories into "My Favourites" *with the thumbs up button.*

There's a gripe though, it's like most other things you do with the Virgin TiVo. You'd better have some time on your hands as it's not the quickest!

We're getting closer to a solution however "New Only" doesn't help you find new series. Unfortunately episode 13 can be new, a problem when you haven't seen 1 - 12.
