You're missing the point.
What his victims stand to get is justice (proper justice) and not some rabid vigilante "justice" which would reduce the perpetrators to the same level.
They stand to get proper justice due, in no small part, to an Act which some people think should be abolished / done away with.
"The average person on the street" would perhaps like to consider this - what is a better outcome for the victims, that he spends his life free and on the run living in relative squalor or that he is brought to justice?
Look beyond the obvious.

I advocate the same threatment for all war criminals and terrorists when caught as death is to good for them and thery should live out the rest of their lives without any human contact.

Ah, the old "death is too good for them" argument. That never fails to impress.

If someone said hang them you would argue about that though would you not because that is your reason for posting is it not.
I am not out to impress as I believe that if you value life so low you should have no contact with another human being for the rest of your natural life and this applies to all the nice terrorists of whatever nationality.

Re: Ratko Mladic war criminal.
To use a similar analogy to your hanging analogy would you argue for the rights of women not to be stoned to death or circumcised or would you just say "Ah well"?
What makes you think that people like him want or need human contact at even the most basic level and that depriving them of any such contact would be considered by him as some sort of "punishment"?

The vast majority do not behave in that way but perhaps he should have got the same treatment as Osama Bin Laden did.

You have a very strange attitude to say the least and I think that you really need to spend some time alone with yourself and a mirror.

Erm, we are supposed to be the good guys - if you are intimating that he should have been executed without a trial, that course of action duplicates his behaviour, and that behaviour and actions are why he has been arrested and put on trial.
You appear not to see the inherent contradiction in your proposal.

I'm at a loss as to what it is you might find "strange" as far as my attitude is concerned.
I simply pointed out that you had undermined what little logic there was to your own argument.
You stated

Can you explain how depriving someone who thinks so little of human life of contact with other human life might constitute a "punishment" of any sort - if anything you'd be "rewarding" them.
You also stated

(you like those little roll eyes things, don't you?).
Yes I would, on several points, not least of which is the fact that back here in "real world" hanging this chap is not an option available to the Hague, neither is it something most civilized democratrized countries use as a punishment.
You've got the indignant fury goggles on again Masque - and they betray you - hence my question on your thoughts on other forms of summary justice / ritual scarring meted out by other less than democratic states.
Sadly you can't even see the analogy.
I'd be quite prepared to spend some time alone with a mirror if you'd be prepared to spend an equal amount of time brushing up on common sense and what constitutes the actual forms of punishment available to the Hague instead of reverting to the usual fantasy "I think [Daily mail] rant [/Daily Mail]".

So you are a Daily Mail reader, that says it all, I no longer bother with a newspaper as they are all the same.
I find it strange that you always want to be different from everyone else regardless of the many different and varied views posted in the threads you visit you can never agree with anyone, possibly you have a few different personas that can never agree even with each other, but hey ho what does it really matter.

Re: Ratko Mladic war criminal.
The one who has different personas that springs to mine is the character Twoface/Harvey Dent from the Batman films.

Clearly you have misinterpreted the meaning of my reference to the Daily Mail. Your not bothering to read newspapers may have had a detrimental effect on your cognitive abilities.

It's no surprise that you should find it strange that people have differing views on a discussion forum. You see I, and discussion per se, don't subscribe to your overly simplistic one size fits all " They are all the same" perspective of life.
We are entitled to disagree, it's what forms the core of discussion / debate. You, however, seem unprepared and unwilling to debate when someone exposes the realities / frailties viz a viz your stated opinion - that said it is entirely your right to do so and I respect that.
I don't "always want" to be different from everyone else - I enjoy discussion and debate. That said I think you'll find I do agree with many people on this forum - on matters where there is common ground. The difference is that when I do I don't always feel the need to resort to gang mentality to post in public about the fact. If you find my opinions to be challenging on matters dear to you then feel free to debate the merits of your position.
I'm sorry if my ability to hold an opinion other than yours or what you consider to be the conventional norm or sensible causes you difficulty but, unfortunately, that is real life and the world would be a very, very boring place if we adopted your "They're all the same" attitude.
