And l agree with you in that we will not see ITV HD 2, 3 and 4 for quite a while.

Actually ITV 2,3,4 HD arent exclusive , it only says on Satellite , Adam Crozier said they were open to talks with VM.

ITV's HD channels will become available to Sky+ HD subscribers in autumn, starting with ITV2 in October. ITV was in talks with other providers, Crozier said, including Virgin Media, but the deal was exclusive to Sky among satellite platforms.
If its easier to blame Sky though knock yourself out.

Perhaps Virgin are not prepared to fork out the carriage fees again.
