disappointed with V+ HD Box.

Well my brand new V+ hd box arrived today with it's bigger hard drive, managed to get it plugged in and working eventually only to find it has exactlly the same hard drive in as my current V+ box

as this V+ box with a bigger hard drive was part of my reason for staying with virgin am i within my rights to still cancel the contract and keep the same end date for the contract ?

i have no yet received the new contract from them and I have no intention of signing it till they supply what was promised on the phone...

Re: disappointed with V+ HD Box.

What size HDD is the V+ ? 160gb rings a bell but I'm not sure.

Re: disappointed with V+ HD Box.

If it is a Samsung V+ then it will have the standard 160Gb hard drive as per the SA V+ only TiVo boxes come with a 1Tb hard drive.

Re: disappointed with V+ HD Box.

on the phone they offered me a new version of their samsung box that they stated had a larger hard drive in it. Having posted on the virgin forums and loged a complaint Virgin media admitted that all their V+ Boxs come with a 160GB hard drive and the only box with more storage capacity is their Tivo box.

Their soultion to the problem has been to suggest that i pay an extra £150 odd setup fee to receive a Tivo box.

Not impressed as i thought i was getting a V+ box with more storage for free and that played a major part in me deciding not to go to Sky. (I have now cancelled the Sky install and the offer they had on is no longer availiable!)
