Have they checked to quality of the signal coming into your house?
|
Just to let you know that was 2 weeks ago and maybe a bit misleading, and I don't want to bore you with all the details, so to cut the story short it was a faulty smart card, and it took a while for the engineer and another engineer (for a second opinion) to realize that was the problem, and I had to wait on a replacement to arrive, but yes it was 6 hours from start to finish.
I am one of the lucky ones though it would appear because I have an excellent signal and my SD & HD picture are first class.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
I'll probably get abuse for saying this as I know I don't have TIVO however who knows in the future , I'm just adding support to what fixerman has said make sure everybody reports bugs and broken features on here , VM community forum or via 150 no matter how trivial , this way they get ironed out quicker.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Well Virgin have come and the guy has expained that we weren't on the list to move the box into the second room, only for TiVo, and that it's too big a job to do today to fit into his schedule, but that he'll do it on another day.
Which I don't mind about to be honest, didn't ask for the second box in the first place, just want the TiVo!

I know, it's not really that annoying though as I don't use the second TV often and it's only for Freeview anyway.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Yes overall its all installed now, seems very slow when compared to skyhd. The UI needs sorting so all screens are HD and at the moment I cant go back in time and look at things I have missed.
ASsuming this will update once the box loads etc over the next 24hours?

I can confirm that! It took mine a full week before I could go back seven days on the EPG.

I wonder if there's some sort of correlation there?
