I've had tivo a week.
Ahh. I have the preview window switched off. That explains it

Erm... No. I got it And yes, it might be useful but, as I said, not if the programme you want to cancel either starts in more than two hours or is not on the first half-dozen channels. Then it's more key presses to get to it in the EPG.

I much prefer pressing "2" from the HOME screen and deleting it from the "upcoming recordings" page.

Re: What we would like in the next Tivo update.

The number one item i would like Tivo to have in the next update is the ability to have a REMINDER. I didnt realise how much i used it until i got the Tivo.
The other thing that bugs me is the lack of choice to record the programme in HD instead of the SD version.
Forgot there are two other things , Need to have the Red button functionality on sky sports and not having to go to the Iplayer app to playback BBC programmes ( contractual problem i think)

So how much did you use it; and for what? You must watch a lot of live sport I assume?

Which programmes are you talking about?

If Suggestions or whishlists, then OK, although there is a workaround for whishlists.

EPG, or search TV shows are easy to select SD or HD

Re: What we would like in the next Tivo update.

What i mean is when suggested programmes are recorded then they seem to be in SD not in HD. I have only had the Tivo for a few days so i dont know if has to settle down.

Wishlists seek out HD channels anyway when possible, certainly in my experience to date, this is legacy TiVo behaviour (according to a thread at TCF):

Sorry, but how the buck is that logical?

To stop watching a recording, press stop.
To stop recording a current recording, press record.

I agree, there should be an option to have HD where possible in suggestions.

On the positive side, if it records a show you like and want to watch more, you can record the rest of the series in HD with a series link.

Mind you, the number of Suggestions it's recording for me, I think I may run out of space if they were recorded in HD!

Re: What we would like in the next Tivo update.

So say, being a bit of an idiot in the full Guide or Mini Guide, I accidentally set a programme to record, I can't simply press the record button again to stop it recording? Instead I have to go to another menu page?

Got a little bit lost with all the to-ing and fro-ing!

That's how it works on the V+ anyway.

You won't. Suggestions will be automatically deleted if the TiVo needs space for one of your own recordings.
