This doesn't work for some people at the moment (including me). I suspect it may be a regional issue.

Whilst I certainly agree, I do the the conversion rate of pre regs to buyers has been very high in this case. Just look at the amount of people on this and many other forums taking VM up on their offer.
It seems to have generated a lot on interest amongst the early adopters at least. If it can grab Joe Publics attention in the same way remains to be seen however......

Without people like DF and and others like him on this forum, telling us what was going on, I'm sure VM would have had a lot more complaints about various aspects of the whole process.
|
l agree without people like DF on the forum there would have been far more chaos with tivo.

As long as they turn up Wednesday i will be happy lol, i might ring up Tuesday just to verify it has been put through.

If you go to the VM community forum a Virgin rep can verifiy you install date for you. A lot easier....

So the UK call ctr has to email the off shore and then I have to call back to ensure the credit has been applied!!!
I detest the off shore call ctrs that Virgin use, not once have I ever had a problem sorted by them, and more often then not they are the cause of the problems as they lie and then try to cover their tracks!!!!
Ah well, complaint has been submitted, thankfully I called on th 084 number so the exact time and duration of the call is showing on my bill so they can not deny the call took place, just the content of the call needs to be sorted out!!!

Im worrided about this. The amount of hassle and calls i had to make to get it; i only fear the worse! The lady in Manila was very hard to understand and couldnt/wouldnt verify my total amount pm.
So spoke to the sales team, and all joking aside, spoke to a Scottish bloke who was even harder to understand! He tended to talk out loud when reading too, which made a conversation very difficult!!
But was very helpful.
Fingers crossed when the bill comes through!

BTW, according to Bang & Olufsen, none of their TVs come with the optical audio connection used on the TiVo.

Bang & Olufsen have always been problematic with all their equipment. They seem to adopt non standard specifications.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Are the Tivo's a more sensitive beast. Surely if the V+ works then Tivo will?

V+HD box
0002 Additoanl V Box
Does this mean that I will be keeping both of my original boxes?. The price quoted is £102.55 per month, which is what I was expecting. I won't be too upset eitehr way to be honest!. Any of the staffers have an idea?

Well, the plot thickens slightly.
Another contract has been received through the post this morning, with a monthly figure of £105.55 quoted. The only change to the previous contract is that there is know a £3 monthly fee for Tivo quoted, which I know to be correct.
My question is why is my monthly package now costing about £6 a month more than it did before?. Package is VIP20 which I signed up for in June last year if I remember correctly. Staffers?

I agree mate , but there will still be a lot who didn't bother , forums like this are generally full of techy fanatics and nothing like Joe public.
