Re: 500GB or 1TB option
Am I missing something here? Surely (for non pre-reg customers) the price of 1TB can't be four times the price of 500GB?

As I understand it, initially, the 500gig drive won't be available to new customers, so the only comparison is £149 as against £49.
500 gig will always have the install cost; iTB, if ordered in April by any current customer, will be free for installation

thanks
does this mean that if I HDMI cable into my HD-ready-TV I will be able to use the scart to connect out to my bedroom
and er if the scart is always active can I use that to connect to my ordinary DVD-Recorder if I really wanted to eg
(a) copy to DVD disk what I'm actually watching
(b) copy to DVD disk what I've recorded onto the hard-drive

You can do both, but you'll have to be playing back the recording on Tivo to record it.

Re: 500GB or 1TB option
Is there any confirmation yet on whether TV L customers will be able to order the 500GB box in May for £8/m (+ £49 act & £40 inst) and not have to upgrade to TV XL?

Re: 500GB or 1TB option
You don't need to be on XL for the 500GB box, but you can't have it on M pack.
The monthly cost is £8 pm extra for M+, & L customers

Re: 500GB or 1TB option
I think with the current pricing for existing customers the 1TB seems better value. HD recordings are a must and I think for an extra £60 one off the 1TB is worth it.
I would say that though as we have a 1TB in the living room and are replacing our bedroom V+ with a 1TB Tivo and have a VHD box in the kids' room.

We don't know full details yet as the box hasn't been released
