They do say that the iPlayer App has three times the content of the V+ one, I know it has more but that much?

As the TiVo iPlayer app is flash based it can access all the web iPlayer content so there is a lot more there including all the radio stuff.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Hi do you recommend calling CS if i want to have V+box which Tivo is replacing used to replace the v box i have upstairs, I ask this as off-shore call centre who took order for Tivo said i could just tell the installer when he comes on 14th, just doesn`t seem right as he must have other installs arranged

Thanks DF - will do.
Any idea how long it will take them to confirm installation dates? It looks like everyone is asking for the same date (23rd) at the moment, so unlikely that everyone will get it
Cheers.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
No email yet. Is it better to order online or via phone (when the message comes through)?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Phew that was a bit of a pain and pleasure experience. Ordered a Tivo for a week today.
Could not get the woman on the phone to understand I wanted to transfer my V+ to upstairs to replace my standard box and have Tivo downstairs. Was on hold three times and after placing the order she rang me back to confirm the installation time we had agreed in the previous phone call. Bless, she must be under pressure.
Whoooohooo no more" hard drive time left" watching.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Wow! That was difficult. Just called up to order Tivo and upgrade to VIP50.
Even though the email clearly states VIP50 and Tivo for £100.55 with no monthly fee, the nice lady on the end of the phone told me that it would cost me around £112 per month. "No," says I and repeat what the email says. "I'll check..." After a few silent moments, she comes back and says "No, that's definitely right, an extra £13.50 per month... becuase of the new VAT rate".
"No," says I. The new VAT rate wouldn't make that much difference and the email says "£100.55".
"Ok, I'll check again she says". Silence... "Ok, sorry about that, that will be £102.55 per month, I've applied some special discounts"
"Ok," says I. "I'll call back later when I've found out what's going on".
"Would you like me to check the email that we sent to you?"
"Oh, yes please"
Silence...
"Ok, I'm really sorry about that, £100.55 per month and one off £149.95 added to your bill".
Woopee! Install set for 1pm-6pm on Monday 18th!
Hooray!

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
I initially went overseas, and was the transferred to the UK when she could not do it for less that 106.55, despite the email saying 100.55 for VIP 50

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
My TIVO install is booked for tomorrow (Wednesday) but forgot that I have to be out all day. Am I best calling the special TIVO number again or normal customer service in order to get my installation date changed?
And there was me looking forward to having the box installed tomorrow
