I shouldn't think we'll have any issues as far as outages are concerned.

Just trying to order now - the CSR is insisting that there is a £3 per month fee despite being on VIP50 and the email saying I don't have to pay it!

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Just thought I would post some info just in case it stings others later after TIVO order.
I'm on VIP50 and requested to upgrade to TIVO, as a family member works for Virgin I get a discount that’s called mates rates.
The sales team are unable to apply any previous discount rates you may of got and you are signing up to a new 12 months contract at the VIP20/50 or 100 rates advertised
So if there are others who have just ordered who thinks existing discount/mates rates will continue you may want to double check with CS.
I'm having problems and cancelled my order.

Just off the phone from the sales team, install booked for 18th April in the afternoon. Keeping the V+HD box and staying on VIP20 - have read of so many problems with the superhub I didn't want to risk any upgrade to the broadband. Happy bunny!

Ask them to check with another sales rep or with their manager?

I have Freesat on my old sky dish. I can highly recommend the Humax DVR.

I have just spoken to CS again and questioned the £115 monthly charge and they checked it and then applied the proper discount i should be getting for VIP50 Tivo 1Tb plus a second V+ HDDbox ( not Tivo) with all packages XL, Sky Premuim channels and HD movies , 50MB upgrade from 20MB installation of all and the cost is only 149.99 for installation and activation and the monthly charge is £103.55 so that reduces the price i was told ealier today by £11.45 .

£103.55 It seems that they have done this and you are getting charged the £3 TIVO charge? Or do you have anything else on your package?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
After receiving my email this morning I have been "chomping at the bit" to get home and order, but I must say that some of the reports on here left me a little anxious as to the whole process.
Fortunately the whole experience has been an absolute pleasure. I was on the phone for less than 10 minutes to a very knowledgable fellow who booked me a installation on the 14th. He confirmed the prices were exactly as I had expected and also sorted a wee outstanding matter for me.
First class service VM. (hasn't always been the case for me). I hope those of you that have had problems get them sorted. Bring on Thursday!

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
This thread is dealing with general tivo discussions. Should we have a new one for newby installs that are about to begin this week?
