Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Has anyone ordered 2 today? Just wondering if they will let you. We want one for upstairs as well, and with the little difference in price (ie the extra £40 install) we figured we'd like to go with the 1TB upstairs as well. Hoping we can get both installed right away.
If that's the case looks like I'll be doing a lot of recording off the V+'s to the extra hard drives over the next little while (or else not sleeping at all to watch and clear out LOL).
No email for me yet and it's 4:30pm here I don't even care if they call me Dean - just send me an email :'(

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Got my email today and phoned up for the Tivo offer only to be told that I would loose out on the six month special rate I am on if I took the Tivo deal. Meaning that I would pay full cost. can this be correct as I am saving £25/month until July and don't want to pay the extra just for the Tivo box

Hey I have just had a thought I would like to see the sales teams wage packets at the end of the month due to the amount of TIVOs that have been ordered?

Just call again and when or if they say this ask them to check with their manager as one of the staff should be able to confirm that you should be able to keep you discount as well?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Well, with reports of people ringing up and ordering Tivo without the email, the thought of being pushed further down the install que became too much I'm afraid.
I rang CS via 150 and was upfront with them; I said I'd pre-registered on day one, and hadn't yet recieved the order email, but said there were reports of people ordering without the emails and I was oncerned that install dates would get furthrer and further away for those who waited for the emails.
They gave me my authorisation code and the number to ring.
When I rang that number, I explained this to the CS agent and they said they had been authorised to take orders from people such as myself who hadn't yet recieved the email. at which point I was glad I'd decided not to wait
I've got installation this Friday.
If VM had followed the system they set out, I would have waited for the email, but sadly they didn't.

I've got to be honest and say I'm 100% happy with my Sky service however I would never say I wouldn't come back and take a TIVO , I'm looking forward to your opinions as I know from your posts you'll tell it as it is. My only scepticism on it becoming mass Market is it seems more techy and I believe VM need to educate people well on it's many features.

Yes, I ordered two to replace both V+ boxes; Saving the installation costs was a good incentive to do it now rather than wait.

I won't judge you. However, what was the earliest install date they could offer you? If dates are pushing out to May then I may have to succumb too.

This friday was the date they offered; I assumed it would be the first available and took it.

All should be noted on your account if agreed and if I am not mistaken all sales calls are recorded any way?
