just downgrade back to XL 30 meg now as I don't like 100 meg at all. speed is all over the place, 25, 42, 52, 61, 77, 83 and 96 meg and very poor upload speed with poor ping.

I now realise myself that both L 10 Meg and XL 30 Meg is more solid and far better than rubbish XXL 50 Meg and 100 Meg (very poor indeed and not worth the money!) I shall not go ahead with 200 Meg in a few years time. I am now staying with XL 30 Meg forever!

30, 50 and 100 are all on the same docsis 3 network, how can they be different?

If you are running wireless then that's an acceptable ping, if that is connected by Ethernet then I would be more concerned.

Edit - Wait a minute... you had 100Mb installed today and the downgraded on the same day ??? Is your fluctuating speed not more down to your wireless connection or the speedtest site?

Or something more mythical. I suggest you read all of the other posts on this forum from Telford Cable before you make your mind up. But to give you a hint he has the ability to stretch the truth in to another dimension
