The guide dog people have just been and gone. After a good two hour visit all seems to be so I have now officially applied and everything is in progress

Well done Dilli, I know that the Guide Dog Association take the placing of their dogs very seriously so to have passed their home visit is a thumbs-up to the type of person we know you to be. 
Did they give you any indication of how long it will be before a suitable dog will be ready for you to do your training and have they said what breed of dog you are going to need?

It's looking likely to be four or five months 'till I get the dog at the earliest.
They didn't specify a breed but said the dog would match me and my walking style

I always imagine guide dogs to be golden labradors - but the temperament and training is paramount I would think - oh and for the dog too
