Time Team Series Link And Catch Up Problem
Hi all, hoping someone might be able to help.
I have a series link set up for Time Team on channel 4, went to watch it last night and the recording started halfway through the programme. I decided to catch it on catch up tv today and that version ends about 10 mins before the end of the programme.

Re: Time Team Series Link And Catch Up Problem
I think Channel 4 started it half an hour earlier than scheduled due to coverage of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami. Hopefully the problem with the catch-up version will be fixed, but at the very least you could watch the first half-hour on catch-up and watch the second half from your recording.

Re: Time Team Series Link And Catch Up Problem
There is a known issue with some 4oD assets over the last couple of days. Channel 4 is working on the issue.

I have time team on series link as well with 10 minutes of padding my recording started at the start of day 2 missing part one completely i think as has already been said by LEW it was because of the channel 4 news Tsanami coverage that time team started early still at least i can watch the start on catch up tv.
Thank goodness my series link for the new series of waking the dead was ok last night.

Re: Time Team Series Link And Catch Up Problem
I watched the show on Sunday purely by chance as I heard the announcement about it starting early because of the extended news coverage but my recording still started at 1730 because the EPG had not had time to be updated.

Re: Time Team Series Link And Catch Up Problem
my old video recorder used to know if a set recording started early/late or over ran, not sure exactly how, think it was something to do with a signal transmitted before the start.

Programme Delivery Control. It relies on a teletext signal though.
