Broadband down in Leeds?

Hey Guys

I've had no internet since yesterday and it's still off today in LS11 so is anyone else having problems? i read another forum with someone in LS27 having the same problem and he got this reply.

Quote:
The virgin media broadband network in the leeds area is pretty much down, and will stay that way until 16th march, at the earliest
That's got to be BS right?

Re: Broadband down in Leeds?

Well i called them and they said there is an intermittent fault on the line and others are having the same problem. It'll be fixed in the next 2 days.

You can stop holding your breath - ours went off around 21:45 yesterday, and came back on just before lunch.

When I rang the fault line, it stated that LS6, 11, 16, and 19 had a problem.

Re: Broadband down in Leeds?

I've had problems with my system (Leeds 17) since February 5th - I know this as it was the day my father passed away, and I really needed the internet to A) let some people know, and B) research some of the things I needed to do. Helplines were useless, especially the Indian call centre which blatantly lied to me. On the Monday an engineer came out and changed our equipment to a superhub, which still would not "latch on", but he left it telling me it would in about 20 minutes, it did, but in about 3 hours to be accurate.

Then, last week, the system went down again and a call was made and an engineer booked, next day the system worked fine again - engineer cancelled.

Sunday night 2 days ago, off it goes again for no reason, engineer booked for Wednesday evening. On returning home from work on Monday, Broadband is working again! Engineer NOT cancelled as there is something wrong and I want it fixed. I am paying around £100 per month for my package, nearly half of it for XXL broadband. I want what I pay for

Rant over (thanks for letting me get it off my chest)

Yes, there has also been some challenges in LS17 on 30Mb and above systems
