Received wireless router - not superhub!
A couple of weeks ago I renegotiated my contract with retentions. I asked for an increase in broadband to 20mb and they said I would get a superhub free as part of the deal. I agreed.
Today a D-Link wireless router turned up! I just rang VM and they say it says "wireless router" on the contract (which I've never seen BTW).
I don't need a wireless router - I have 3 already! What are my rights here - the superhub was one of the reasons for me agreeing a new contract?

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!
Well that's precisely what I'm on, as agreed last week! I paid an extra £5 mp to increase my speed from 10 to 20 mb (confirmed by speedtest) and they said they would send me a superhub FOC. I got a D-Link DIR 615.
WTF is going on. I'm on a speed that doesn't exist and they've sent me the wrong equipment.
EDIT Well, just rang retentions again and they are going to bump me to 30MB today and get the superhub sent out. They apologised for the mistake. Result!

I too went from 10Mb to 20Mb this week for an extra £5 per month, I asked about going to 30Mb but was told that would cost an extra £10 (£15 more per month total) as I'd be losing my retentions deal. I was told I would definitely get the superhub but so far it hasn't arrived. Should be interesting to see what I get.

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!
20MB doesn't seem dead as I was put onto a new triple bundle this week which had BB at 20MB (upgraded from 10MB) and was specifically told upgrading to 30MB wasn't available as part of this bundle. Did managed to get a super hub (planning for the future) which should be arriving this afternoon, so hopefully will not be a wireless router!
Clearly it is 30MB now for new customers and existing customers on 20MB are getting their free upgrade, but there seems to be a bundle still in place using 20MB for existing customers.

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!
As it is an optional upgrade all customers who do not choose to upgrade to 30mb will remain on 20mb. 20mb isn't going to stop existing anytime soon.
Although that said good to see they're still handing out free DIR-615's. That should keep prices low for a while yet.

20mbit does exist its a legacy product.
seems bizzare you got the dir615 tho as VM seem very keen to make people use the hub and superhub now.

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!
My upgrade was a retentions deal for a new bundle (my old one was ancient, I upgraded BB, downgraded phone) so would not be on the web site.
My wife has just called and said a VM package has arrived with a label on saying "welcome to your new bag of tricks" (or something like that). Sounds like the super hub I requested as doesn't sound like the description of just a DIR-615 wireless router! Will find out when I get home tonight.
