You are missing the point they are running a business and they should keep their word when telling a customer they will ring back...it is not up to the customer to be chasing up phone calls.

I agree with you, but it also depends if you want 30Mb or not.

Called 150 to order mine about half an hour ago. Lady knew what I was talking about before I finished asking (which can be novel with any customer service department LOL)
She said earliest activation would be Fri 11th, would be delivered by UPS and self install, and new monthly payments would actually be reduced (which I knew they should from online, but you never know what happens when you actually are speaking to someone.
I asked for more information about self install and specifically asked if there was somewhere I would need to phone or if it would be automatic - she said automatic. So from looking at this thread while she was up to speed with the upgrade ordering, sounds like she's not so up to speed on the actual upgrade/update process.
Just a little nervous though as I'm looking at some of these posts with problems and all the info they're giving to try to get help and I wouldn't even know where to begin to look at or find any of that info - so I hope it goes smoothly or else I'll be back for some hand-holding walkthrough's!
Give me software to work with (Office, photoshop, publisher etc) and I'm good to go - talk hardware configuration and my eyes glaze over and I get palpitations

So I don't think I will bother if they can't do a simple thing like taking an order.

Her system may of crashed and she may of lost your details. I know when I worked in faults it happened a few times!

Re: [Update] ALL 20>30Mb upgrade discussion
Well I rang up 150 about 20 mins ago and ended up taking 50mb instead lol. Do I have to stick with 50mb for the whole 12 months or can I downgrade after X amount of months if I feel its not for me?

Interestingly though its only effecting the 30mb activations because my 50mb install is for the 5th feb. Unless I just got lucky.

You can downgrade after 30 days in use, but your contract remain 12 months of your broadband service. No matter if it was 10Meg, 30 Meg, 50Meg or 100Meg of your choice, can change speed at least 30 days in use. But, beware of lose out of your loyalty discount if downgrade, also you could be charged activation fee if want to upgrade later on!

Re: [Update] ALL 20>30Mb upgrade discussion
i ordered monday, it was delivered today @10, installed by myself in 10 mins - had to move the desk!! 2 laptops, ipod, and my desire on wireless, pc wired all by 10:30. echo the comment earlier about the green/blue send/receive light, guy on the activation line didn't seem to know about the different colours, just asked for all green lights.

Where was she from here or offshore, because if the latter I would not be holding my breath waiting for a callback, if you really wanted 30Mb then you would be back on the phone within the hour asking what is happening as I know I would.
Your loss if you do not callback to confirm.

Thanks for that. To be honest I have no intention of downgrading but the thought occurred after the phone call that I may not even have the option if I lost my mind and decided to downgrade.
