convert dvd to divx or other xbox 360 format
any good convertors? Preferrably free but just looking for some suggestions. It must be easy to use.

Last time I looked there was a free version however both versions produce avi in a non standard format that standalone players might have difficulties with.
Once you have decrypted your DVD you can make an excellent xvid avi using Auto GK and yes it is free.

 quiet true but I would like to have a digital copy and then throw the dvd up into the loft to help with insulation. that way I save on energy bills and I dont have dvds lying around where a child can get hold of them and damage them.
