Time for a new box I think

My SA box just rebooted for the 2nd time during the Apprentice.

Interesting that I was recording the programme from BBC 1 HD and I was watching the show via delayed TV as well.

With the SA, it seems that 1 HD Channel Live + 1 HD Channel recording = BOOM!

yeh the SA's have issues with rebooting. a few things can cause the stb to reboot but you are right, more than likely you are going to need a new stb

I called VM last Friday after my SA V+ became too unreliable. Engineer visited yesterday morning and replaced it with a Samsung V+.
No quibbles over the need for a new box: customer services can check your box's log records remotely and if there's been a problem they just arrange a replacement.
The engineer said that they were removing a lot of SA V+s as the Samsung handles HD much better.

Re: Time for a new box I think

I had the same problem with my SA V+, one HD prog recording, one on delay and it would restart every time, sometimes it wouldn't actually reboot properly so it had to be manual restarted.

Phoned VM and explained to them what was going on and the next day an engineer was round to replace it with a samsung v+, its great in comparison but it does sound like its ready to take off.

Roll on Tivo is all I can say!!
