BBCi player, picture Jumpy with certain programmes

Not sure if this is a problem relating to BBCi player on TV or not, but some programmes like the Graham Norton Show there are points of the show that are very jumpy, like for instance around the 34:20 frame mark when Katie Tungstall is singing, on mine it is jumpy, also at the start of the show when Graham gets off his seat from the audience there is picture problems also.

I have checked this prog on the internet, and it doesn't jump there, it seems to be noticeable when there is movement on the video.

I've just looked at and it does get a bit blocky on fast movement.

Hi, it's more of jumping frames rather than smooth movement on mine.

Re: BBCi player, picture Jumpy with certain programmes

I was watching a couple of episodes of Strictly Come Dancing off VOD and it was a very jerky picture, almost made the dancing unwatchable. Unfortunately not enough Mbs are allocated to smooth it over.

Last night I watched 'have I got news for you xl, QIxl and live at the apollo' and on each one there were a few places where there was plainly some frame jumping.

Nothing major, but certainly it is/was happening---seems to be BBC?.

It's a little bit jerky on mine at that point on the SD version, but HD is fine. Theres alot of movement in the picture due to the glittery back-drop. This will take more processing and therfore may cause some pixalation.

Could just be that asset also.

Strange how some are experiencing the same problem as myself.

I understand what you are saying, however it's more a jumping problem rather than the pixelation issue.

I suppose then the version on the net is HD as there is no jumping.

Yes, I know. It will either cause a jerky picture or pixalation.
