Re: VM 20mb Business - No Static Address

As far as I am aware after a discussion with business customer services, I gather the 20 MB/s service is subject to STM in the evening and weekends but the threshold is somethign like 8GB

I was also told the 10 MB/s business service is not subject to STM at any time.

I don't get any STM on 10Mb VMB... Though astraweb EU servers have been slowing down lately...though their US servers don;t seem effected.. You sure the quarter speed isn't just routing??

Morning,

Migrations will not be possible from old products to the new offerings, it needs to be a cease and provide. What does that actually mean for the customer though? Very little, new piece of kit, new IP[s] and possibly a new account number.

The 50mb will be subject to STM but not the deep packet type of inspection which happens on residential services.

Re: VM 20mb Business - No Static Address

Sounds good - will the cease & provide be able to be done effectively on the same day to minimise downtime?

Re: VM 20mb Business - No Static Address

I would imagine [and hope!] the person doing the provide would be sensible enough not to cease the old one until the new one is in and working, probably worth reminding them to do that though if/when you signup!

Will the STM just be the same 6000Mb evening upload limit as residential and what sort of cost for the service?

Re: VM 20mb Business - No Static Address

STM will defo be different, hopefully much more relaxed than resi STM...

Cost will not be that much different from the top tier packages today for the new top tier packages.
