I wouldn't complain. No commentary sounds wonderful

Before you feel any more hard done by, perhaps you ought to think back to the ref's performance when you met Twente at home.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Well done Spurs. Favourites to finish bottom yet we finish top beating the holders on the way.
As for the reffing, it just gets even more crazy. Definitely watch the highlights for the final couple of minutes. Even the commentators thought he was a walking disaster.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Inter lost 3 - 0 against the worst team in the a group, a team in disarray and 10th in the German devision. Rafa can't hold on much longer can he....

I didn't see the game or line up but it was supposed to be severely weakened. You would think he'd have had a go at trying to finish top. A 1-0 win would have done it.

Yeah, Don't think he'll last much longer.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
The ref in the Spurs game was very bad, but arn't all European refs, The own goal that Twente gave us, it would have counted if Clattenberg was in charge.
To say that Spurs have had a hard group is no surprise to me, but we must learn from our mistakes, WE must have a good strike force and a defence, and this has been our downfall.
Spurs are doing doing great, lets hope that Harry can keep the 'kick up ass job' as some of the team are not performing as if we were a good team.

Well I don't think the group turned out to be as hard as we thought. The two teams I thought would finish above Spurs have been awful in their domestic leagues as well as European competition.
I think Spurs haven't had many mistakes to learn from, they will continue to concede goals but this is a result of the way they play and leads to their high-scoring games.
I don't think there is anyone that hard that Spurs could face in the last 16 either.

Valencia, their reserves gave Man U's first team a pretty good match last night.
In other news Pardew is about to be confirmed as Newcastle boss, unbelievable, a completely underwhelming appointment. I like Pardew but is he really the manager with more experience they sacked Hughton for? Jol, O' Neill maybe even Mclaren but Pardew, Mike Ashley deserves all the stick that's going to come his way.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Jol apparently said he wouldn't take the job in solidarity in with Chris Hughton.
Also I heard that Mike Ashley struck up a friendship with Pardew in a casino which brought all this on?
I'm sad Clipboard Chris is out of a job but in a way i'm glad as now I can laugh when the idiots get relegated again

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Apparently Pardew and Ashley have been in discussions for a while. I think Ashley just needed an opening and the 3 - 1 loss was it.

Yes, it is a bit of a strange appointment, especially after what Hughton has done for NUFC, actually it beggars belief.
Ashley deserves what he gets, hopefully it could be relegation, we wil see.

Also, it is good to see Chelsea maintaining their current form, long may it continue, not that it matters that much at this stage of the competition........

The hope at Old Trafford is that Ferguson's voice is powerful enough to help prevent a repeat of previous matches when Wenger has been routinely subjected to songs such as "sit down you paedophile".
A United spokesman said: "We have gone on the record several times about this disgusting chant. We don't condone it and have appealed to fans several times in the past but to no avail. There are many chants that opposing fans find objectionable and this is certainly one to which all decent supporters should object.
"We will take strong action against people who chant in that way. Season tickets will be revoked and we will remove people from the ground for it."

Credit to United for taking action. I never think it's that bad at Spurs. I was at the Arsenal vs West Ham match and I have never heard it chanted so much or so often. Disgusting.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
That chant is supposedly about Wenger apparently being gay (or at least bi) and often signing young players. As much as I dislike Arsenal and Wenger it's completely uncalled for and I applaude SAF's actions.
