No it's for good. However what Virgin said is that they are reviewing the VIP bundles again at the beginning of next year

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
That the big question.
when wil lthe new VIP packages be rolled out, if they are rolling them out in the new year, we should have heard something about them by now. We have already been told that Neil Birkett signed off the new packages months ago, so why no news ??? On VIP 20, not much more for VIP 50, but do not want to have to pay the costs for the new boxes.
Guess I will still have to wait.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Just called CS:
I was quoted £ 109.50 for VIP50 + £ 20.00 activation fee and free install.
The only differences to the standard package are
1. Caller Display £2.00
2. My additional box is V+HD. I currently pay £ 15.00 less £ 9.50 discount
for that so...................
Basic £ 97.50 + £ 2.00 + £ 5.50 = £ 105.00
As sky Premium increased by £ 2.00 this month it could be £ 107.00
Therefore should I be paying £ 105.00 £ 107.00 £ 109.50.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Now you know why I'm called dazed&confused

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Assuming you mean you have got two V+ HD boxes and nothing else
VIP 50 is £96.50
+ £2 for Caller Display is £2
+ extra V+HD £10 (pricing for extra V+ HD boxes is different on the VIP bundles)
= £108.50
---------- Post added at 16:24 ---------- Previous post was at 16:22 ----------
P.S thats with VAT at 17.5%, it would be more once the VAT goes to 20%

I'm in this same boat right now.
I see the benefits for only £1 more but then it's the activation and install costs etc. Then Tivo could be launched the following day and I am well up for that and then the following month 100Mb could come along.
Seems at present if I went to 50Mb the kit would not be good enough to upgrade to 100Mb so would need another visit etc.
I'm going to bite the bullet when Tivo is launched and go to 50Mb at the same time along with the second HD box. Don't want to be forking out install and activation costs left, right and centre.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Well I rang CS today as I noticed I was paying £94.49 for my VIP package (which I have had for years now!). They explained I was overpaying by £2.99 a month. I asked for how long and they came back and informed me I had been overpaying for 44 months! So a credit of £131.56 will be hitting my account shortly!
One happy chappy!

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Well that's nice, considering you have probably only been paying £2.99 more than the new customer price for the VIP 20 since April (which is when the price went up for existing customers but not new customers)

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Perhaps someone can help me...
I just installed VIP50 after being a long standing customer on VIP20.
Should i get SKY HD channels on the Second V-HD box or are these supposed to be additional 7 squids? I am paying 97.40 per month.
On the website no where does it say that you cannot get the premium HD channels on the second V HD box included in the bundle. Surely this is misleading!
Please let me know.

I don't mind not getting SkyHD through the second box but surely BBC HD and ITV HD should be available
