TYPICAL SKY! By up the virgin channels, close them down, and move the content to Sky Exclusive channels!
Virgin really shouldve put a clause in whereby sky would have to give access to the new channel...

How do you know that they didn't? it's only rumour that Sky atlantic is exclusive to Sky.
Mind you, if they didn't put that clause in, or something similar, their negotiating team are idiots. It was Sky they were negotiating with, after all!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
The NBC Universal deal sounds pretty decent, any ideas if there will be full series of shows or just odd episodes from series (like vod tends to have)?

Digital Spy haven't helped by misquoting the Sky Press release.
The Press release is ambiguous.... but to me, it implys that you'll only be able to get those shows on Sky Atlantic.

other tests still showing
Test 42
Test 43
Test 44
Test 45
all showing ondemand ads
as spiderplant quoted before"they are for testing the network, and don't relate to any real channels. They will be removed when the tests are complete."

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
.....and when the last batch of tests ended, Sky's HD film and sports channels appeared. By the way, these 4 tests were the last 4 of the dozen plus tests that became Sky's HD channels. These test channels have been around for ages now, they are not new.

There's nothing ambiguous in the press release - the HBO shows and Mad Men will only be broadcast in the UK on the new channel Sky Atlantic. But nowhere does the Sky press release say that Sky Atlantic will be exclusively on Sky's platform - that's Digital Spy suggesting that, not Sky. And Digital Spy is not the most reliable source.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
Looking around on the internet it seems Virgins main announcement Wednesday will be about 100 meg internet , so wouldn't expect to much in the way of HD announcements , but hope I'm wrong.
