They carry a disclaimer form that you sign so that they can install 'tcp optimizer' on your machine. This may be required on some machines to allow 50Mb to function optimally. Assured my installer I wouldn't need it, however he insisted on a 'speedtest.net' test on my laptop to check.

If you post the individual items on here I'm sure that somebody will help.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Is 100Mb likely to be part of the VIP package - I have been holding off moving to VIP to see what would happen with 100Mb and TiVo. A package including both of these would certainly appeal, at the right price

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
i might hold off on upgrading right now, because hopefully they might include the new tivo box when it is announced.
Any more announcements of when the new VIP package is out or what is included in it?

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
VIP100 with TIVO would be awesome. You wouldn't get the upgrade for free though, I'd imagine it'd be expensive. You'll be paying £40.00 installation for the modem along with £30.00 activation then probably a high installation fee for TIVO, £150.00 would be plausible, plus an activation fee too. In total I'd expect to pay between £250.00 to £300.00 in fees and charges to get VIP100 with TIVO.
How much would you pay in upfront charges for VIP100 with TIVO?

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
the max i am willing to pay is £150 for the tivo and 100mb internet. If it is more then that. then i most probably wont get it until the price drop.
I just can't justify to pay more then that for a 'upgraded' box that does the same basic functions for tivo. It will also be interesting to see the new updated software to the box, because i may not bother at all if it preforms better.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
I have read every post in this 55 page thread and I am still confused so I may as well just ask my question and get a straight answer.
I currently have the normal VIP bundle and I am paying £94.49.
If I were to upgrade to the 50Mb is that just £1 more?
If I do this will it trigger another 12 month contract?
Would I get the homehub thingy so I could upgrade to 100Mb and beyond if I wanted to as it seems the current 50Mb router is no good for 100Mb and higher?
Any clarification on this would be good.
Thanks guys
