Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
It probably depends what bundle you are on. Some non-standard bundles cause a couple of issues at the moment (I think)

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Seems like VIP 20 Customers are getting a raw deal with only £2 ish between VIP20 & VIP50, with VIP50 getting faster broadband and SKY HD Channels, perhaps VIP20 price needs to come down a bit.

It's only £2 for existing VIP 20 customers
It's £5 difference for new sign ups
Don't see why the price has to come down though, the difference being so low is being left as a reason to upgrade - which unsurprisingly Virgin would like customers to do

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Ben,
I know you may have answered this many times but currently i have VIP20 and if i wanted to get VIP50, how much is installation for everything and can i get the Standard box swapped for a V HD box for free or is there a cost?
And would it be best to call on October 1st when the new prices come into effect or is it safe to ring now and they will know everything
Thanks

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
I take it you have to go through retentions to upgrade as an existing user ?
I've just been on the phone to the "upgrade option" on the phone menus saying I wanted to upgrade from VIP20 to VIP50.
Been told it would be £8 more for VIP50, plus an extra £7 for HD channels. I'm currently paying £94.50 ( ie £3 too much ), so my new monthly cost would be £109.50 rather than £97.50.
I asked to be put through to Retentions but they shut at 8pm.
She claimed she was not in Sales, so couldn't comment on the website prices, or any deals being done - the options on her screen were £8 and £7 as above.

I've just tried to upgrade to VIP50 via customer services and have been told that they are experiencing "technical difficulties" with upgrades to VIP50 and that I should call back after 7th October.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Just received my bill and seems to be £3 too much. Can someone clarify:
Telephone Line Rental = £11.99
Talk International = £1.50
Talk Unlimited = £7.95
Talk Mobile = £1.50
TV Size XL = £24.50
1 Additional V Box = £15.00
V+HD Box = £10.00
Add Set Box(es) Discount = £9.50CR
XXL 50MB Broadband = £45.00
BB Size XXL Activation = £20.00
Manned Installation = £40.00CR
VIP50 = £44.94CR
SkyMovie etc = £29.50
SkySports HD = £7.00
Total therefore = £119.50
That would look like I will be paying £99.50 for the VIP50 service instead of the £96.50 I thought I would be paying.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Might have misled you a little. The letter I received details the services, charges and contract details. It does not cover a billing period. The letter states that these are the charges which will start from my next bill. My installation is due on Friday 8th October.
