Recording on ITV1 Channel 3

No it isn't, and the other channels are recording.

have you got 2 rec at the same time as if your trying to rec 3 it wount let you.

No I haven't. Just tried recording the ITV programme I was watching, and it didn't record. No other channel recording at the time.
