50mb Broadband - Post Your Speed & Vote

Using http://www.speedtest.net post your 50mb broadband actual download and upload speeds and vote.

Remember if your not getting excepted results try rebooting your modem and re-run the speedtest.

If all else fails call 151 from VM line or 0845 454 1111.

I get some silly results from the speedtest site, despite clearing my cache and rerunning it several times.



But the old image in my signature is accurate, I get full speed when downloading from local sources and newsgroups.

I used to get the full 50mb, but for the past two months, this has been more typical of the type of max speeds im getting :/

Upload speeds have been a little strange recently, sometimes only reaching 0.70Mb/s. I did turn the QoS off in the router settings and tried again, i got over 1.0Mb/s after that, not sure if that was a coincidence or not.

i rebooted before i ran the test, i am having major probs with this right now and wish i had stayed with BT,..lol

however, I can download a 8gb movie in 20 minutes using newsgroups??
