Re: Are you an HD snob?
Not really a snob, always watch the HD option if it's there but to be honest, the V+ upscales so well, there's not a lot of difference sometimes. That said, we only have a small lounge so only have a 32" tv.
I actually got 'er indoors to admit the HD picture was better than the SD one watching something on BBC the other day though!

Re: Are you an HD snob?
The 'favourites' button on the v+ box controller is a waste of time. We remember most important channel numbers (until Virgin keeps changing them!)
Here's a tip.
We now have 13 HD channels and rising. So use the favourites button to log all the HD channels, so instead of grabbing 4 the RT to look it up, it's there at your finger-tips.
Great tip eh!!

15 without the Sky HD premiums now
As for the HD snob question, yes I definitely am! To be honest I've recently been feeling that HD didn't seem that great in some cases. That was until I watched Match of the Day the other day. It nearly burned out my eyes the image quality was so bad!!!!

Re: Are you an HD snob?
My tv has FreeviewHD built-in. So when I select channel 50 (freeview BBC-HD) I get the message 'this number is not available'.
Any answers?

Freeview HD is not yet available in all areas yet, there's a postcode checker here: http://www.freeview.co.uk/HD
If it is available in your area you may need to do a full rescan to pick up the channels.

Re: Are you an HD snob?
I will always watch the HD option if there is one. And as we`ve just moved house the area at the rear of the lounge is pretty much dedicated to watching TV and Films now
Beats the hell out of a dining table, that in our house will always end up as a dumping ground for all sorts of pap.
