I am on VIP20 and received a letter today saying 1/10/2010 £2 increase on sky premium channels and won't be offering £1 discount for e-billing so £3 increase

As you have the ebill discount that means you have been on VIP since before April - so will be paying £94.49 if my calculations are correct

So that means you could upgrade to VIP 50 for £2.01. If you were to order it now, all you would have to pay to get 50Mbit installed along with the Sky HD is the £20 activation fee for the broadband.

As you are upgrading you would also get a V HD box with HD activated for free to replace your standard SD additional box

I would advise you to call in after 0800 tomorrow as an advisor will listen to your requirements and then match that against a suitable package with a price.

Just call tomorrow on 150.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

It's been true since the 2nd of August, unfortunately due to computer glitch the system is still trying to charge for the additional HD activation. All agents and managers should be aware that it shouldn't be charged, and it should have been briefed out again this week

When did you order the upgrade?

If it was after the 2nd I would phone back and get them to sort it out. Get them to read 'Maestro News' If you got the V HD box installed but charged for activation they should refund it. If you didn't get it installed because of the charge they should arrange for it to be installed. If you don't get anywhere with the first person you speak to, ask for the call to be escalated and keep going until it's resolved

I was told exactly the same thing: an extra £49 for the SD box upstairs to be upgraded to a VHD so I told them to forget it.

My 50Mb is due to be installed on Tuesday so it looks like I'll be giving them a ring tomorrow, or am I best waiting until Monday?

Thanks for the heads up Ben.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I called up retentions today just to enquire at the price difference.

Was told an extra £15.56 per month... mentioned the forums no help.

Maybe it is because I signed up to a deal to get an additional V+ box added to my VIP20 package?

Yes an extra V+HD on top of the 2 inclusive boxes would be an extra £15.50

Fair enough - it is a little disappointing when you want to upgrade your package that any discounts negotiated are wiped clean - I guess I will just wait out my 12m and see how the grass lies

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Is the VIP50 deal currently being offered the improvement to VIP that is being promised Q1 2011 as per Diane in CEO's office?

If I upgrade, is it likely the Q1 offer will be better(Tivo?) but then tied into VIP50 until next September?

Cheers

Jason

Haven't got a clue, and I doubt CEO's know the full details of what may or may not be offered in 4-8 months time
