not sure if its the right place but seemed like the place most likely to be able to help but feel free to move it if its the wrong place

looking for some help finding some sort of ( not to expensive i know i could get something to hook up to pc but that i would think would be far to much ) projector that will put up pictures of the planets ( most important ) and maybe star constilations preferably with the planents already to go if you know what i mean

i havew a friend with an autistic boy of 7 who is just mad about space and planets

i am positive i can remember a toy one that did it from a long time back but i cant seem to find anything that does it now.

Lidl has sold a planaterium projector a few times in the last year, it did a full night sky and came with southern and northern slides.

Do a search on amazon for planeterium as there's quite a few projectors on there

Just watch out as the cheaper toy ones either just do random lights or just the major galaxies

lots of stuff there that he will like but still not quite what i was looking for as he wants to see mars pluto ect in big pictures more than just star feilds with small planets.

though the one that goes arround the light looks great but i think he will getr quite a few of those things this year lol

You do know that google earth does moon/planets and stars

Cheap PC, linux, google earth and a projector.

he loves that

thought about projector for pc but it would mean putting pc in bedroom or lots of wireing i dont think they would be able to afford or do the other

plus it has to be fairly child proof he is quite gentle most of the time but he does have his moments lol

Another site is Heavens above

Great for telling you what you can see.. Used it lots of times to predict ISS/shuttle/planet/comet sitings. It's not that child friendly but OK for an adult to work it out and then use that info to see some great things

he has been looking at some of these with his mum he says they are great

and love that last site myself though may be a bit much for him though he suprises me he can go staight to my house on google and others and loves driving to them on there

Have you shown him the google earth flight sim, he can now fly there

Just press CTRL-ALT-A in google earth
