She also said she didn't know what all the fuss was about and someone on the paper that was linked her said she is an animal lover. I would hate to see what she would do if she hated you

Re: Woman dumps Cat in Wheelie bin Footage caught on CCTV
It will all be forgotten by Friday. Plus there are other things to worry about, other than the cat.
I am a great pet lover, she has admitted she was in the wrong, the cat is ok, the RSPCA will probably smack her wrists for it, so to me that is the end of the matter.

Re: Woman dumps Cat in Wheelie bin Footage caught on CCTV
She did that to the cat having looked around to make sure no-one was looking. If she's done that then what else has she done? If I was the police I'd be making enquiries about cat poisonings and missing cats in the area. Her aggressive and dismissive nature towards the BBC reporter was interesting.
It's all very well saying that there are other things to worry about, but unless she's checked she'll do the same again or worse. If you'd been attacked, I guarantee that you wouldn't think there were other things to worry about.

People drive at 100mph and nobody complains. Woman dumps cat in bin and Facebook groups POP up all over the place. Odd...

I always find it very interesting/weird/worrying/disgusting the way some people react to animal issues and stories like this. You'll get people wanting this woman hung, drawn and quartered without even a hint of irony.
Some of the responses to this thread, asking if you'd save your own pet over a work colleague, i actually find quite troubling.

No assumptions there, just her own words on video

So Kymmy, Why do you think she did this despicable thing then?
Like i posted.....
Lets just wait and see what happens.
She might be mad.
She might be a cat hater.
She might have done it on the spur of the moment.
None of us know.
Lets just wait and see.
What she did was not the action of a normal person. I can`t stand cats, i hate them with a passion but i`d never see any harm bought to one.

Hmmm, someone drives at 100mph, then what ... they get there quicker I suppose. Someone deliberately drops a defenseless animal into a container that they can't get out of, they get ... a dead animal unless someone rescues it.
Yes, I can really see that these two things are so similar in all the important ways. Your grasp of analogy is just that, a grasp. You are odd.

I find it more interesting/weird/worrying/disgusting that you lack enough empathy to see that a woman putting a cat into a life threatening situation would cause people to react.
If someone put a child in to a discarded self locking freezer there would be hell to pay. The fact that it is a cat obviously reduces the reaction but it is still along the same lines, why would you expect otherwise?

Speaking of grasping at things, you'd do well to grasp the meaning of a simple sentence. I said the way that some people react. Your response above bears little relevance to my comment.

Pretty poor comparison to be honest Russ. not everyone thinks that 100mph is cruel, evil or even dangerous.
you should have added that the driver was drunk and not driving a police car

My response to you stands.
"the way" people are reacting is to show offense to this woman's actions.
You said you find it disgusting that people are reacting in this way.
My comment bears complete relevance to what you said, so much relevance in fact that I'm lead to believe you are being argumentative for argument's sake. Either that or you are stupid but I'm feeling generous tonight.
EDIT
I've just reread your post prior to the one I initially replied to and I find your refuge behind pedantry baleful. Go to bed Niles and reflect upon the ignominy of pedantic cowering.

Russ, it's bad enough that she is a bank employee - though we should be used to them putting things like the economy in the bin - but imagine if she'd been a muslim.

So i lack enough empathy for the cat/owners because i find the knuckle dragging, pitch fork wielding, knee-jerk, over the top reactions and comparison with human affairs very interesting/weird/worrying/disgusting? Interesting logic.
Hardly pedantry. I make a comment referring specifically to a certain section of people, in order not to tar all with the same brush and cause offence. You ignore my concious effort in what seems to be a rather overzealous moment, by arguing anything which isn't full of "Awww" or "How awful!" etc. Your suggestion that i lack empathy because i don't like some of the reactions speaks volumes.

How do we know she wasn't? It doesn't actually say anywhere in the article that she isn't, so by some of our CF members' "logic", she must be.......
It may be part of "their" long-term plan - first, build the mosques as symbols of power, then, kill all the cats, as it is well-known ( on some sections of the intraweebtubez) that our feline companions are Britain's first line of defence against the insidious invaders from Muslimia, as their extraordinary cat senses will warn them in advance of the uprising, and they will warn their ethnically indigenous owners of the rising tide of curry-based insurgency...
(or perhaps not)

Re: Woman dumps Cat in Wheelie bin Footage caught on CCTV
Bloody Muslims, coming over here. Looking like our middle aged women, putting our cats in bins. Send em all home!
Anyway she's been identified, she's admitted to it and any prosecution has so much evidence even the CPS couldn't make an arse of it but I can't see any prosecution being likely as being in the public interest due to the lack of injury to the cat.
