Are you an HD snob?
1. Have you rearranged your seating positions, to ensure that you are the optimum "HD Viewing" distance from your TV.
2. Have you at any time said " I wont watch it, unless it's in HD "
If you answered "YES" to any of the above questions, then you are indeed, an "HD Snob".

Re: Are you an HD snob?
Well they will be watching very little TV if they would only watch in HD as the are still so few channels broadcasting in HD.
Not really a snob but you can add your own name for them here...................

Re: Are you an HD snob?
Obviously not. I don't even have a HD TV in the lounge, and only use the one I have got for gaming.
Can't really tell the difference between HD and SD programmes if I'm honest

There was someone on a sky HD forum I think, who said that he would not be watching any more cricket or football I think, unless it was in HD. He also sat 6 feet from a 50" plasma, because that was the optimum distance. I thought he might be having a bit of a laugh with his statements, but when I read through all his posts in the thread, he was totally serious.
Not so much "HD Snob", more "complete ******* *********** ******".

I had already guessed that you were not actually serious and a link to said thread would have been both funny and revealing about this person.

Re: Are you an HD snob?
I'm a reverse HD snob. I don't have an HD tv but watch the non-premium HD channels just to be contrary.
Don't tell me which channel to watch you pesky V+ box.

You get early ad breaks on HD channels during major events

Re: Are you an HD snob?
I'm not a snob as such, but if a programme is available in HD, thats what I watch. I pay for it, so why not?

Re: Are you an HD snob?
Count me in I am a snob, I love the transmission delay you get with it, you can hear that a wicket has gone down in the cricket on the radio, watch in SD, flick over and still have time to watch it in glorious HD
Cannot wait for the new year to come, I will be able to celebrate it three times over and in HD it will probably be quarter pass twelve

Re: Are you an HD snob?
I'm an HD snob in that case. I don't pay £10 a month to Sky for nowt. Being a young but doddy broadcast engineer, crap audio and video really bothers me, and HD means I can see the blocks that the artifacts produce on the SD channels. Nothing wrong with SD per-se, just the bitrate they're broadcast at.
I haven't so much adjusted my sofa as it's pretty much ok as it is, but I do tend to flick straight to the HD category for my viewing pleasure. With BBC HD, Channel 4 HD and Nat Geo HD, I've got all I could pretty much watch all week.
Oh, and when the girlfriend put ITV1 on for the X-Factor on Saturday, I told her to put it on in HD or it'd be turned off. Sadly, she switched to ITV1 HD.

Yes I am, I have my gaming chair directly in front of our 50 inch screen with sound running through it for optimum experience.
