Ultimately you get what ever is supplied to you by Virgin Media and is on the engineers van at the time of install. Unless the STB is in some way faulty VM won't be replacing it.

Re: Help, v+ samsung or s/a

By getting a Samsung box the picture is going to still be the same as an SA box as it is coming off the same feed. As Rob said unless your box is faulty you won't be getting a replacement anyway and it's down to what is on the van even then so you might end up with another SA anyway

Firstly unless the is a fault on the box you will not get an engineer visit, and even if the box was actually found to be faulty the is no guarantee as the others have said above as to which box you would get as a replacement.

I have had a SA for over 2 years and I am perfectly happy with it and I deal with both broadband and digital television faults so that is a good recommendation.

Re: Help, v+ samsung or s/a

I have no connection with VM at all, other than being a customer ! I would echo the comments about the SA box, it just works; occasionally a bit slow, but in general my experience has been one of a reliable piece of kit.

Advice, keep it cool. I have it in a cabinet which has an open front and side, it seems to work just fine next to an Xbox 360.

Cheers
