He can spend his money on what he wants. As long as he pays his rent and electricity i don't care. The lad is doing the same job as me now and gets much the same wage. So he has lots over each month

ok dude but I am entitled to my opinion. The day Damien can keep a machine running that opinion can change. And before he says its all hardware remember I have seen what he posts between builds

Re: Asus Rampage III Extreme Warning
I asked because I did a bit of checking around to see what's new etc. I have a Q9550, 8gb Ram (not any fancy make), I did splash out on a ATI HD5850, I play games and do quite a bit of rendering. Anyway, I checked around, looked at the I7 etc and branded ram and also high spec gfx cards (I can't have any as they won't fit in my case anyway), but I couldn't find anywhere to state that anything better would make anything any better.
Apart from the odd game like Crysis which I can live without being on the crazy high settings, everything else seems to run on max and still have a lot more room to go. So I've come to the conclusion quite easily that it would be a waste of money to upgrade anything at this point. Unless I want a higher score on some benchmarking program.
Even though my PC is about a year or 2 old now, apart from the i7 I don't think that much has changed.

Re: Asus Rampage III Extreme Warning
I went from a 9450 to an i7 and it does give you a lot of headroom when running heavy rendering/ encoding

Re: Asus Rampage III Extreme Warning
Not interested in petty arguments anymore I tried to help people from making the mistake I did by buying the board but it has become a thread for let's try and make Damien look like a idiot which hasn't worked, it's gone the other way.
Can a admin close the thread and close my account I obviously can't try to help people anymore without people trying to make me look a idiot.

Don't be like that. I find anything you have to say (inc Zing) very interesting regarding hardware etc.

No matter what I say I am alway's wrong!!!
So not interested only tried to help and it turn's in to a thread to call me a idiot for spending money on hardware that is better than I currently have, even though I will use that hardware to the best that it can be at that point.

I only ask for advice between component's and then I read the reviews on it aswell, it's not my fault that I can spend money on good hardware to be able to max game's and do other stuff fast as I don't have the time to wait for it to be done.
