How do you think the above statements would go down with the public? Just because SKY done/do it, does not make it right. The Govt should look into this practice. How can anyone justify this form of theft. Thats exactly what "PER BOX" is.

Trying to keep this " on topic" I've just signed up for the lot, SS 1-4, (1 + 2 HD) + all
Sky Movies + the HD version, had movies before but not Sports and ? other HD channels as and when announced.
Question,
Any thing more definate than " as and when " on these extra HD channels Sky are
kindly " giving us access to" as part of this extra Â£ 7.

Got to say that total price increase not too bad, less than VM website predicted.

I noticed that the sky sports hd channels have appeared on 517 and 518, possibly leaving 516 for Sky Sports News HD ?

And by the way, nothing is going to stop me paying a bit extra, it's just the per box thing which I don't like. But, we have been waiting for these channels for so long, so bring em on.

Been on the phone had a chat with CS

He said they have to charge Â£7 due to sky wanting to continue there HD Â£10 fee and was part of the deal when they sold VMTV. He said when sky remove their HD fee it would be removed from VM too but said sky wont do that for the next few years.

Couldn't offer me anything only upgrade the V box to a HD Vbox for Â£35 or Â£15 self install.

He also said buy a new LED TV that plus the V+ Box upscaling looks just as good as HD.

And I can promise you that is pure speculation on the advisors part. None of that has been in any briefing for staff

Added hd sub to v+ downstairs dont see the point on the v hd box upstairs as its only 19 incher.Thought he may have took my card number but as soon as i said v+ he had the details there and then.

I called cs at 11am they said they didn't have the codes yet and to upgrade online, but cannot find Â£7 price online.

did that include the activation fee as its supposed to be Â£49 for that alone

Upscaling doesn't look anything like HD btw, its a shame so many companies say that when its simply not true.

just did a quick price comparison using the websites for TV only, ongoing monthly price.

Sky Â£67.50 43 HD channels.

Virgin Â£63.50 30 HD channels.

That is everything available

ESPN
Sports
Movies
HD subs

Virgin is ridiculously overpriced in comparison.

Thanks, I tried that site, but it only gave prices for the sd channels + the hd ones, I already have the sd ones, may call again when I get home from work.

Also when I phoned there was a recorded message saying I hadn't swapped my card out yet, I have done this already, and our box downsatairs was only installed recently and came with the N3 card, should I be worried? Thanks
