Re: Sky Sports HD 1 & 2 CONFIRMED for Virgin TV
This probably deserves it's own thread...I'm very surprised this is happening unless Sky are losing shedloads of money on SSHD I don't understand why they'd give the one thing to Virgin that would attract people to satellite.

I can't find any *official* confirmation yet - no press release, no nothing so until then...

Re: Sky Sports HD 1 & 2 CONFIRMED for Virgin TV
Sky were being forced by Ofcom to offer it anyway. Or did i dream that? Ofcom told them they have to offer the HD versions of the sports but not movies and that Sky can stipulate their price.

Sky have been told to offer Sky Sports HD1 & 2 on a "fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms"
Sky Movies has been refered to another body

Re: Sky Sports HD 1 & 2 CONFIRMED for Virgin TV
Surely it would be for all SSHD channels i'd have thought, its only WWE on SS3 that people probably watch, not much else on that channel is there?? Movies would be great too.
This really is the most important news since the announcement of the first batch of hd channels besides BBCHD last Summer.

I know. That's what i said. Ofcom ruled Sky had to offer the HD versions of their sports to their rivals but movies was not mentioned.
This thread isn't news, we knew they were coming weeks ago.

Re: Sky Sports HD 1 & 2 CONFIRMED for Virgin TV
Am i correct in saying that you can't subscribe to only SS3 or 4 and that they're included as part of the SS1 and 2 package.
If that's the case I suspect ofcom would take a very dim view if Sky were to deprive VM of the ability to offer these.
The lack of mention of red button services is bad news from my perspective.
