I was able to park my car opposite the down ramp at the carpark today, so when I drove out this evening, I was able to pretend I was in a rocket, and I was launching....

After living in rented flats for some years my son has just picked up the keys to the house he has bought. I haven't seen such a big grin on his face in a long time.
He and John are loading the cars up with all our decorating gear and then we are off to have our first proper viewing. It's just around the corner from us and it feels lovely to know he will be living so near.

Met some friends (from previous jobs) I hadn't seen since the New Year for a quick pint - managed to get home, seven pints later.
Sometimes, the best nights are the unplanned ones.
