Royal Mail postcode finder disconnect
I have just made several attempts to use the post code finder on the Royal Mails web site.
Every time I do it appears to disconnect my BB LAN connection and pop up a box prompting me to connect using my Zen Dial up connection.
If I close this box and attempt to navigate I then get a pop up telling me that I am working offline, if I click connect then my BB connection is restored and I can use the site.
I haven't changed any settings but as soon as I click onto the site I am then working offline.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Jim.
EDIT. Using Win XP and IE 8.

Yep, as I said, haven't touched any connection settings, checked them all just in case.
On the odd occasion over the past week or so the Zen Dial up connection box has popped up on the screen, I just closed it and carried on as normal.
It might be the over protective nature of IE8.

Re: Royal Mail postcode finder disconnect
Have you run malwarebytes recently?
if not get it and run it just in case there is something there.
Last time I saw this it was a rogue dialer

Do run Spybot and have Authentium Anti Malware/Anti Virus and Prevx Edge installed.
Scan on a regular basis but have had nothing reported.
I do have Malwarebytes on my PC so it will do no harm to give that a blast.
I did have to change my wireless router a few weeks back but I don't think it could be anything to do with that.

Re: Royal Mail postcode finder disconnect
Hmm..
Ran my copy of Malwarebytes, came up clean. Checked for update and as one was available I downloaded that and scanned again.
This time it reported two .dll's as infected.
Files Infected:
C:\Program Files\HPZUCI12.DLL (Spyware.OnlineGames) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
C:\Program Files\tls704d.dll (Spyware.OnlineGames) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
These files are both in the HP printer program files.
I did a search of the hard drive and found four copies of tls704..dll, three in the TEMP folder and one in the HP program folder, all four scan as clean.
Printer is also working fine. Not sure if these two aren't false positives.
Just logged onto the Royal Mail site and once again the dial up box appears and the BB is disconnected.

Re: Royal Mail postcode finder disconnect
Funnily enough I did change my phone to a Nokia N900 a few weeks back.
I didn't bother loading the Nokia software with my previous N95, just accessed it directly from within My Computer.
I did load the Nokia software for this new phone, a bit of a waste of time as there is a load of stuff, particularly at the OVI store that is incompatble with the N900 and quite a few of the features within the software do not work with the N900.
Might uninstall it and see what happens.
EDIT. Unistalled all of the Nokia stuff and it is still happening, it is only doing it on that one site though, never had disconnect of BB conection on any other.
